Yoga, stretching, physical therapy & healing

I wish I could figure out how to encourage people to do the work it takes to feel good in their bodies. I am not sure its possible at this point, but it never stops me from trying. Yoga, physical therapy, foam rolling, using self massage balls, manual touch for healing and all these things that I study, learn, use to heal, will be there and continue to grow stronger for helping myself and anyone else who is interested.

I have so many tools to help people feel great in their bodies, but I cant do the work for them. I figured out long ago that if someone does not want to do the work necessary to keep the body running optimally, there is not much I can do. I have to meet someone where they are at, meaning if they just want to do a little, then so be it. I can try and encourage them, be tough with them, tell them all kinds of benefits and it means nothing if they are not into it. I see it all the time, even with people who do yoga once a week, they want to do what they want, not necessarily what I think would be good for them. We all bring all kinds of emotional stuff to the yoga mat, gym, etc and all those things are in play. I think sometimes we need to get out of our own way and let the professionals take charge, but it doesn’t always work that way.

It does make me a bit sad, but I keep learning, trying to figure out new ways to bring yoga, physical therapy and other healing modalities into the learning arena to help people feel great,  so when there ready, so am I!
